Prompts = Order, Brisket, Enigmatic
Lost in the annals of America’s Western history is an enigmatic culinary figure: Brisket Man.
One California-bound wagon trainer wrote:
Jedediah spotted a lone figure next to a small camp where we’d planned to overnight. Supplies were running low so we were wary of offering hospitality, but as we approached, the figure gave orders for us to care for the oxen and to wash up because dinner was ready.
We ate our fill of tender brisket that night.
Next day upon awaking, the stranger was nowhere to be found.
Jedediah thinks it was a ghost. But a fine cook.
