Prompts = Compensation, Bemused, Original
I’m bemused by scientific attempts to explain symbiosis, which to my mind is the art of negotiation within nature. I think it’s obvious that there are discussions where two parties come to an agreement.
Imagine, for example, a negotiation team of bees approaching a tree. The bees need space for the nest and in compensation the tree wants pollinating. Simple.
Now imagine a contract needs renegotiating. The bees might refer to the original and say they need hibernating space — can the tree accommodate them? And the tree says absolutely, but utilities aren’t included. And the bees say, never mind then.
