Buzzword Bingo

Prompts = Iridescent, Unbreakable, Toast

Maybe it was juvenile. Definitely tasteless.

At our best friend’s wedding, a bunch of us played Buzzword Bingo.

We knew the Best Man’s toast would be both longwinded and full of big words. Each of us filled out five by five grids with linguistic contenders. We listened, checked boxes, and drank heavily.

I scored a couple of quick hits with “iridescent” and “scintillating”. Shockingly, I also got “troubadour” (don’t ask). Last in that line was “unbreakable”, which he hit when talking about their bonds of love. I jumped up and yelled “Bingo!”.

Which, judging by the silence, was quite unwelcome.
