‘What? No! Why would you think that?’

’It’s what you said happened last week. And the week before. In fact, you were due to be abducted today.’

‘Well… it wasn’t a UFO. It was… a different universe.’

‘Yeah. Really.’

‘Yeah really! It was totally traumatic, getting sucked through a wrinkle in the fabric of space. I’m just glad no one ironed it out while I was on the other side.’

‘What was it like?’

‘What?’

‘The other side. How was it?’

‘Good. Enlightening, in fact. I…’
