‘Hi. I’m Julie and this is Cooking With Julie, answering all your cooking quandaries. Who’s on the line?’
‘Hi Julie, my name’s Peter.’
‘Hello Peter. What pesky problem is pestering your pesto?’
‘It’s not pesto. It’s buns. I want to surprise my wife with homemade breakfast in bed but the buns aren’t turning out.’
‘What’s not working?’
‘They’re supposed to be light and fluffy but all I get is charred balls of dough.’
‘I don’t mean to antagonize or demean, but bakeries open early. And they’re fresh.’
‘I’ve ruined six batches so far so… I’ll set my alarm. Thanks Julie.’
