Mary Delvin, a secretary for the General Legal Division of the United Nations, looked at the envelope quizzically.

She read the three-page letter addressed to the Secretary-General. In it, FELT (Flat Earther Legal Team) gave notice that it intended to file suit against any and all international governmental organizations responsible for Earth’s spin. It closed with “No rotation without representation!” in bold text.

The staff attorneys will need assistance answering this letter, she thought, giggling, so sent a copy to the Hayden Planetarium; maybe Neil deGrasse Tyson could help.

And then she sent a copy to Bill Nye, The Science Guy.
