‘I’m Julie and this is Cooking With Julie on Savanah, Georgia Public Access TV. Call me with your cooking quandaries. Hello, who’s on the line?’
‘Hey Julie. This is Mike. I want to take exception to your episode yesterday when you said elaborate BBQ sauces are better than simple ones.’
‘Mike, remember that my palette is far more refined than an average person’s. I don’t “pig out” on ribs; I consume, savour, and relish. Complex sauces are more interesting.’
‘But don’t you agree that smoke can amplify unflattering flavour notes?’
‘It can, yes, but never in my sauces. Next caller…’
