‘Hey Ken, I heard a rumour you aren’t going to participate in the chain letter I sent you.’
‘Hey Steve. Yeah, my parents said it’s a bad idea.’
‘How can it be a bad idea? You’ll make a fortune! All you have to do is send a dollar to seven people then send the chain letter to ten friends. If everyone participates, you make over $11,000,000!’
‘I hear you, but can you name a single example of this working?’
‘If you send me a dollar and send the letter to ten friends, that example will be you!’
‘Yeah? No thanks.’
