Animal Farm Inspirations

Prompts = Intent, Shelter, Campaign

Nester the pig put down the book, George Orwell’s “Animal Farm”, his imagination full of mischief. Intent on showing Farmer McCullen how unfairly they were treated, he decided on a campaign to trade shelter for shelter: the Farmer to the barn and the animals to the house. That’d show him.

After the Farmer started his morning chores, the animals ran into the house (opened by Boots, the cat). Or they did until Mabel, largest of the cows, got stuck in the entryway.

McCullen could only watch as the entirety of his animals squeezed through the door.

‘That’s peculiar’, he muttered.
