‘Today on Tinfoil Hat Conversations we present two views on the digestive processes of human gut bacteria.

‘Roger Crumbly believes they can become flatulent but no one cares.’

‘It’s already a noxious environment. Letting one fly has to be permissible. I mean, who’s going to complain?’

‘Your turn’s in a second, Roger. Sigmund Secundus, on the other hand, thinks common courtesy requires a gassy bacteria to travel to a safe area first.’

‘It’s why you get gas pockets in the intestines — it’s more buoyant than the surrounding air. Basic biology.’

‘I’m sure we’ll hear all about it. Let’s begin with…’
