Maxwell Emanuel, dressmaker extraordinaire, finished discussions with Aven Garday, a musician who continually pushed the boundaries of fashion.
Her plan is for different parts of a bespoke gown to be made by different designers, each having only the essential sizing details for their individual pieces.
Maxwell’s jobs are: coordination of outsourcing, assembly of the resulting garment, and maintenance of Aven’s anonymity until her debut at the Billboard Music Awards. Netflix has already signed on to do a documentary of the entire process.
Whether Aven is a fashion maven or a farcical pretender will be debated next month on live TV.
