Prompts = Troll, Mayor, Win
Over in Trollville, an election was held to replace the retiring mayor.
That every adult troll got to vote was a new concept; democracy was seen as the civilized way leaders should be chosen. The old way, selection-by-combat, the strongest (or craftiest) troll would win. It was hoped this new way would give the mayorship to the smartest troll.
But there was a problem counting the votes. And it lay in the counting of votes.
The town clerk, mumbling to himself, had counted, ‘one, two, many’ for each candidate.
No one was sure how to solve the problem.
