‘Welcome back to Matt Varley’s Hit Parade. I’m Matt Varley and this next act is out of this world. Singing their single, Without Warning, The Earth Will Be The Epicentre Of Our Wrath Unless You Submit To Our Demands, they’re Grognak and his Amazing Grog!
The studio cameras and the live studio audience then focused on four very confused looking figures in elaborate spacesuits.
‘There’ll be no singing, Earthling. So says I, Captain Grognak!’
There was a pause. And then Matt called over a production assistant for a brief discussion.
‘My apologies — you do doomsday poetry. It gave me chills!’
