The Perils Of Regifting

Prompts = Laud, Chest, Direct

Unemployment sucks. But the holidays approach and I need gifts. Off to shop in my attic.

As I dug through old stuff, there was a slam and dust plume that made me jump out of my skin. I turn and there lays an old, thick book, like something out of a fairy tale. The title etched in the ancient leather: Laud Cthulhu Rex. Do the letters glow gently? Weird. I don’t remember this book at all.

I know what you’re thinking: old spooky book equals bad. On the other hand, my nephew loves Harry Potter. He’ll love this for Christmas!
