“I know this isn’t built perfect, but can you fix it?”
“So let me get this straight. You built this house?”
“Yes.”
“And you laid the foundation.”
“Yup!”
“You used limestone.”
“Yessir. I googled it and limestone is a wonderful building material.”
“Some are. The one you used? Not so much.”
“What?”
“Look - as we’ve been standing here in your basement, I’ve been watching water pour in. The walls’re porous! Nothing’s keeping water on the right side of the walls. There’s zero chance I can fix this without this costing you seriously big money.”
“You can fix it?”
“Geez… yeah…”
