Lee had called herself “The Adverb”; her parents were always saying ‘Quiet, Lee’ and ‘Quick, Lee’ and all that, which of course got picked up by her sisters and friends. She had hated it.
But then she discovered words like “Indiscriminate”, which described her method of multi-player gaming: kill everything and everyone in sight — slaughter indiscriminately. She was The Terror With A Controller. She was Almight-Lee.
As Lee embraced this view of herself, her parents trembled at the thought of teaching her to drive and using the brake pedal.
Maybe a driving school would be a good choice?
