A New Year's Big Apple Alternative

Prompts = Saturate, Glasses, Ribbon

Everyone knows about “The Big Apple” falling in Times Square every new year.

But no one knows about “The Massive Pitcher of OJ” in Kissimmee, Florida, where several hundred gallons of orange water pour into the “Drinking Glass Of The New Year”. That’s the event I attend yearly.

At last year’s event, as glitter and ribbons shot out of cannons, the bulwark holding the pitcher shifted and dumped its contents on the attendees. Thankfully, I wasn’t hurt. Amazingly, my glasses stayed on my face, but the lenses were so saturated, they were squishy.

I’m going this year. In a raincoat.
