Prompts = Heap, Crunch, Igloo
When the transfer orders came in, I did a double take: Anchorage, Alaska. I got ribbed about it, people I barely knew asking who I’d pissed off and how, that sort of thing.
My family, especially my wife, took it all in stride: they knew an arctic tour had been possible, and here we were.
The twins, four years old, began wondering what it’d be like, over breakfast:
‘I like Captain Crunch. Will they have Captain Crunch?’
‘Yeah, I like to heap it up and have lots of milk.’
‘The igloo will help keep the milk cold.’
‘Yeah. That’s good.’
