‘My fellow mice! There is a terrible force that lives on the other side of this wall, a four-legged fiend that has killed young and old alike! We’ve suffered its depredations, its mouse-ogyny, for too long! We must throw a wrench into its evil designs against us by putting a bell around its neck!
‘But this task is not within my purview. I administer, I govern, I guide the community. What is required in our time of need is a hero, one who will risk all for this great civic and charitable deed.
