Prompts = Bee, Can, Roof
Citizen scientist Zoe knows the honeybee population is decreasing dramatically. Thinking about her experiences during a recent alpine vacation, she sets up an experiment: setting bee traps (little more than a shallow can of sugar water and a mild sedative) on each floor of the fire escape of her apartment building, from street level to roofline, ten floors up.
The next day, she checks the results: the number of slumbering bees decreases with altitude of the trap. However, she also saw that the bees slept more restlessly as the traps approached the roof.
She hypothesizes it’s due to altitude sickness.
